Agricultural training centers are not particularly insufficient in Africa, rather they are of different categories; but the big question is, what is their contribution to the economic balance? Do they train people who are ready to take up Africa’s challenges? Or just project officials?

It is in this context of insufficiency that Songhai training comes in:

Songhai training is a very important department. It aims at trainning men and women who refuse to accept Africa’s challenges but desires a positive change. It is based not only on technical values, but also on moral and organizational values.

This training enables the individuals to develop a new vision that will allow them to formulate it clearly and also to implement concrete actions with others. Upon graduation from the Songhai training program, these groups of individuals are known as leaders. Since they possess the technical knowledge of organic farming (know-how) and also the principles, values and behaviors that form the basis of a good work ethic (know-how to be more), which is the foundation of an economic and social viable society.

In the end, the graduates are able to reproduce the Songhai model anywhere the need arises, most especially in their locality, in order to fight against food insecurity that is so prevalent in Africa.

It is also interesting to know that this training is open to anyone who wishes to acquire knowledge  in agricultural entrepreneurship or to further improve his/her skills in organic agricultural techniques.
